Who we are

ImportCostCalc is an independent online publication that produces researched cost breakdowns for importing and exporting cars and motorcycles. You can reach us at any time at importcostcalc@gmail.com. For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ImportCostCalc is the data controller for the limited data described below.

Information we collect

You can read the entire Site without creating an account or giving us any personal details. We do not ask for your name, address or payment information. We collect only:

• Usage & device data — pages viewed, referring page, approximate region, browser and device type, collected in aggregate through analytics cookies.
• Server logs — standard technical data (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) that our hosting provider records to keep the Site secure and available.
• Messages you send us — if you email us, we keep your message and email address only to reply and to log corrections.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners use them to remember preferences, measure traffic, and — where you allow it — to show and measure advertising. We use two broad categories:

Aggregated analytics data is retained for up to 26 months. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data we hold, to object to processing, and to data portability (GDPR), or to know about and delete personal information and opt out of its "sale" (CCPA/CPRA — note we do not sell personal information). Children's privacy

This Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
